How are Flower Essences Made

Preparation of the essences consists of the four elements:  earth, water, air, and fire, along with a fifth element, the sensitivity and attunement of the preparer.  The flowers are hand-collected in the peak of blossom from carefully selected wild habitats or organic gardens, placed in a bowl of pure local water, and in the open, undisturbed air, infused with the gentle fire of the morning sun (or heated by fire in the case of some English essences.)  The heat element serves to release the essential spirit and soul quality of the flowers into the water.  The infused water is then prepared as a mother essence. The mother essence is the source for the stock bottle which is used to create a remedy.    Brandy is added as a natural preservative.  (Individuals sensitive to alcohol should mention this to the practitioner since the remedy can be made without alcohol as a preservative.)
